Prospace Asia was engaged to design a new store identity for Chinese female footwear company, Diduo. As a fast-fashion footwear brand, Diduo aims to offer an ever-changing contemporary fashion style to the independent and confident female consumer. The concept was to create a sophisticated and well-detailed retail environment that could act as a backdrop to showcase woman’s shoes, handbags, eyewear and various accessories.
A neutral colour palette was applied to allow the colours and textures of the product to become the dominant focus in the store. While the retail environment is neutral, it isn’t bland. There is a subtle contrast of materials that help create visual and tactile interest. Stripes in a variety of materials create a feature language that is used to further emphasis the contemporary and refined nature of the space.
Client and customer reaction has been extremely enthusiastic meaning that the new design is now being rolled out across the huge Chinese market. Good news for both the retailer and the discerning Chinese consumer.
