Regulatory Finance Solutions (RFS) were bursting at the seams, and in competition with the biggest players in its sector, they needed to move. Deciding to remain in their home town of Swindon, they required a workplace to promote their ambition to clients and attract top talent. A new space was found ideally situated in the heart of Swindon’s historical Railway Quarter, which recently underwent a major regeneration creating great opportunity and business.

Moreover, the space was aimed to occupy finance services, perfect! RFS commissioned Interaction to create a statement office that would impress clients, inspire staff and promote collaborative working practices. Interaction challenged the requirements of the client’s initial brief and created a space that was on a par with high-end London offices. The space offered a variety of informal/formal and open/private areas.

In June Interaction completed a second project at RFS: astate of the art auditorium. This contemporary space is used for big presentations, meetings and training purposes. While expressing a very luxurious and high quality look the auditorium was decorated with a subtle Chinese theme including artwork of the Great Wall of China and a glass cabinet holding a samurai sword. Overall, a great addition to RFS’ offices and a one of a kind project.

The result is an exceptional open plan office with a “curved”structure to encourage collaboration while still providing privacy. The executive office based on the concept of a luxury hotel lobby offers an important yet relaxed meeting space, while the Alpine ski lodge designed breakout area is solely for staff to have fun and unwind. It has attracted nothing but positive feedback from RFS staff and clients, generated employment over and above what was hoped for as the team grew from 4 to 40.
