Zinc has assisted “Kjøkken & bar” with the design of their new restaurant located in Oslo city center. “Kjøkken & bar” is a family-run eatery and has been part of Oslo`s restaurant and nightlife industry for years. In the evening, the space transforms from a relaxed daytime café and bistro, into a busy venue where cocktails and drinks are served in a wide selection.
The lighting has been of great importance throughout design process, in order for the venue to serve as a restaurant in the day, and transitioning into a club during the night. Marble, wood and leather are key materials found in table tops and customized interior, and botanical elements such as plants play a central role in the concept as well. It does not only set the scene amongst the interior, but contributes to creating a vibrant outdoor space.
