Multidisciplinary designer Nao Tamura is a cross-product of Tokyo and New York’s creative communities, where her solutions are equally at ease in the world of 2D and 3D. In her latest Light installation, Tamura teams up with tech giant panasonic to introduce their ‘weaving the light’ collaboration at the Tokyo midtown courtyard. In her own words, the installation is ‘light and space brought to life by future life sources.’

‘The next generation of light devices and lasers is highly directional and very efficient even at high intensity,’ explains Tamura. Taking advantage of these features and by weaving fiber like gossamer threads, the collaboration has created lighting that brings new value to spaces.
