Red5 studio designed the offices for real estate company Unipro, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Unipro is a real estate company but their office is very different from what people imagine about the design of most of real estate offices today. The unique idea of making that difference comes from a very young interior design team. Besides, an important factor leads to this achievement is that accepting and believing in new ideas of young architecture team from the owner.

The office space is 130 square meters in area and situated on the 14th floor of a building on Tran Hung Dao street, district 1, HCM city. The investor wants an efficient working environment; more importantly, however, is that their staff can relax and customers will possibly change their concepts of real estate agencies (normally tedious and having business natures). The design team has a proposal of creating an office space similar to a residential area by the beach, which helps bring about the feeling of a resort with sand courts, lawns etc.

During the discussion between the design team and the investor, everything was curtailed to balance the creative design ideas and practical views. Sand courts and lawns from the office door to the inside are the wooden floor in accordance with a particular color sequence. The ceilings style stylized as resting huts by the beach are made of wooden frames with roof shapes. When the construction completed, a relaxing and coastal office appears.

Cement patterns on the wall shape the coastal line and the wooden details were treated to have a graze and plain look. The overall has bright and gentle colors. Staff working place consists of round tables instead of fixed squares, which helps them feel comfortable and flexible as everyday they may opt for new seats with the feeling of working with a laptop in a cafeteria not a office. Especially, there is rare space seperation between the managers and the employees.

Everyone seems to employ a mutual space, natural light and city view. The ceiling is open to “show off” the whole technical system of the building and only painted white to be more spacious and maintain the overall gentleness. With such an office space like that, perhaps the pressure at work of the employee is somewhat relieved, all activities become more gentle and exciting. And with Unipro partners, visiting this office actually also brings them a little happiness like stopping at an interesting cafe.
