For this well-established Indian restaurant in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, restaurant design experts Faber wanted to create a space that would stand the test of time. “We achieved this by choosing classically inspired lighting and combining traditional hardwood flooring with deco-style geometric tiling,” explains Faber’s Creative Director, Tony Matters. “We also selected luxurious but elegant materials such as marble, brass and wood to provide that sense of durability and quality associated with older buildings. Even the wall art tells a story and adds to the feeling of longevity.”

A new customer-focussed layout includes relocation of the bar area, which was originally in the main dining room. Now a dramatic U-shape with eye-catching brass detailing, it’s a real focal point and one of the first things guests see as they enter the restaurant. It also enhances the overall experience for diners by creating a more peaceful environment, away from the hustle and bustle of bar traffic.
