Casa Lapin cafe kiosk is a blend of abstract forms and naturalistic elements to create the rabbit hole after the cafe’s name. From the ceiling, plane of grass stalks recede upwards. They signify the earthly settings, but quickly give way to the simple cylindrical structure which hosts the cafe’s barista and operations.
Take a curved side-cut into the cylinder, we recreate the main burrow entry. The cut line is rose copper, exposing the fresher soil of a newly made rabbit burrow.
The seating area is the cozy burrow itself. The wall curves and embraces guests in close intimacy and comfort. The clear demarcation of ceramic tiles floor and warm yellow lighting separates the space from the cafe’s surrounding.
