UNK project has completed the offices for JetBrains, a software company, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. JetBrains office in Saint Petersburg is the largest workspace of the company. It is located on more than 25 thousand square meters building on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.
On the upper 9 lounge floors of the office there are soft areas, a library, billiards and a terrace. On the ground floor there is a two-level full-cycle dining room with its own bakery. In the different-sized areas of the dining room, employees can dine with a large company, have a snack alone or sit with a cup of coffee at the bar tables with the view on a bay.
The designers were faced with the task of rebuilding the two towers and stylobate of the former apart-hotel and creating a modern interior that meets all the scenarios of work. Also, the task was to make the interior as friendly and comfortable as possible, integrating digital environment elements into it without ‘the high-tech coldness’ of the interior: dark colors, complex textures of wall finishes and natural textures of wood and stone were used in the design. In this context, workspaces are solved in neutral basic colors with the allocation of common areas, a combination of active colors and elements in the warm texture of the tree.
The chips of the working areas were the rounding of the internal and external corners when joining the partitions, giving rise to the soft touch effect, as well as the rhythmic and gradient structures of various finishing surfaces.
