With Kontorhaus in the heart of Berlin, TOG launches its first “Flexible Workspace” in Germany. The TOG trademark is: Design makes the difference­—the architecture, location, and context of each building is incorporated into the design concept for each space. For the first German location, TOG worked with the design studio Weiss–heiten to realise the interior, which required the joining of two distinct buildings; one from the 19th century and a newer addition from the 90s. The concept “New Romance” was developed by Weiss–heiten as a creative tool to envision the interior. As with Berlin and its many dualities, the design aimed to merge these diverse elements, to create a balance and dialogue between opposites.
