BBG is an online fashion retailer founded in 2015 which uses instagram as the major distribution channel. In 2021, during Covid-19, they decided to have their first physical store and managed to find a street corner shop with a large facade in Yuen Long, Hong Kong. However, the facade came with a staircase which turned the main opening into a trapezium with its underside. The staircase quickly became an inspiration and we saw this as an opportunity to complete the shape of a house by adding the opposite diagonal edge using metal mesh. The mesh helps
unify the facade while allowing customers to look into the shop and allowing the light of interior to shine through at night.
