HTO Architecture & Engineering designed a space using natural light to enhance the work environment at the EPAM offices in Bucharest, Romania. EPAM @ CRYSTAL TOWER effortlessly emits a strong visual identity. The architects from HTO Architecture & Engineering designed a space that is both functional and expressive of the brand’s commitment to fulfil their customers’ needs through technology.
People will now be able to work more efficiently, meet more casually and collaborate more directly, all within one new world. Different working environments, among which various phonebooth setups were created for employees to experience their space through smart and soundproof design, without losing visual contact with the open space.
Throughout the office, creativity is expressed through artistic expressions conveyed also into the flooring, creating a subtle canvas where the architects played with Milliken Color Compositions carpet. Breaking the plain monotonous installation, these eco-friendly planks provide style and excellent sound absorption with a 31db impact noise rating.
The cafeteria represents an important gathering point where staff can grab a coffee, take a break or create connections. For this social space, the architects selected Creation 70 from Gerflor – a repeatable and natural wood-look design LVT with lighter shades of cream which contrast well with the darker brown nuances.
The final project is a beautiful chemistry between connectivity, warmth and functionality, all wrapped in a space which doesn’t go unnoticed.
