Paulista is an exclusive Brazilian-origin multi-brand women’s clothing store. The brand has established itself in Montevideo to bring a limited selection of garments to the country while offering a wide variety of styles.
When setting up its first store in Uruguay, Paulista aimed not only to attract customers through the quality of its products but also by offering a unique shopping experience. To achieve this, it required a suitable space to house the showroom and back office, as well as the expertise of a specialist like Contract Workplaces.
The conceptual design was based on the use of curves as an allegory of the feminine form and the idea of the store as a discovery space that invites exploration while maintaining exclusivity. For this reason, the storefront windows were covered with vinyl that prevents visibility from outside, along with a metallic curtain enveloping the display window. This veiled facade creates anticipation and a sense of mystery, encouraging exploration.
Inside the store, circulation was organized around a red sofa placed at the center of the showroom. This piece is the focal point of the space and the only element featuring the brand’s signature color.
General lighting is soft and diffused, and the entire store features ambient music to enhance the customer experience. The mirrors have organic shapes, emulating feminine curves.
The result is a space that combines elegance and functionality, offering an exclusive shopping experience.
