With co-founders Eddie Cruz and James Bond firmly at the helm, Undefeated has garnered a sizeable fanbase at home base Los Angeles and far beyond. It’s in the Land of the Morning Sun where the streetwear label’s strong appeal has spawned a nationwide network of stores. As of late, the doors of Undefeated‘s eighth store in Japan, and this time it’s in Tokyo‘s leading shopping district of Shibuya. Situated on Cat Street, a pedestrian zone lined with some of the area’s leading boutiques, the Undefeated store occupies 193 sqm. (2,077 sq.ft.) spread across two floors of a modern building fully clad in glass.
Upon entering the store, shoppers are met by an expansive sneaker made from timber, paired with matching displays, leather-clad low benches and sleek steel clothing racks. One floor up, the emphasis is on apparel and accessories, and the setting adapts accordingly with an entire wall of shelving framed in dark corrugated steel. The new Undefeated store carries the brand’s full range of merchandise, and to commemorate the opening, special items have been released, including a limited edition T-shirt by Los Angeles-based artist Geoff McFetridge and the adidas by Undefeated Ultraboost sneakers.
