SIYA CUSINE has opened MIFA 1862, which is renovated as the art center, at the Huangpu river of Lujiazui in Shanghai. It was originally built as an English shipyard in 1862. The idea behind SIYA CUSINE was to create a refined ambience restaurant that reflects nostalgia in contemporary Chinese design.
The overall interior scheme combines a contemporary and a classic of China style. The restaurant has an elegant palette of materials and colours – featuring decorative double layered design wall, the suspended pieces of wood to create a wooden wave ceiling and luxurious parquet timber flooring; harmonizing together to create a refined ambience that reflects the concept of the SIYA CUSINE.
