Opened their first store in Western Australia, the sunniest region in Australia with a hot, dry climate. This inspired a design reminiscent of a Palm Springs resort, using calming materials and textures found in urban resorts.
Western Australia’s renowned sea breeze and outdoor adventures influenced our interior, creating a store that feels like an outdoor retreat with a relaxing, holiday vibe.
The store’s standout features include curved, monolithic concrete forms on the main counter-front and balcony-like structures extending from the open kitchen. These curves extend to the cake display, menu board arches, bench seating, and planter boxes.
Crazy pavers in the customer area mimic a poolside setting, enhancing the resort feel. Decked out in a light green, a subtle variation of Messina’s iconic green, along with warm hues, light concrete, and sandy beiges in the cork linings, the colour and material palette balance a subtly brutalist aesthetic with delicate details and brass décor.
