As an emerging artist, designer, and teacher, Daniele designs and fabricates a line of glass prototypes in the pursuit of creating objects that are unique, alluring and vibrantly warp their surroundings. Each piece is hand-blown glass that is then mirrored on the interior to give it that reflective quality.
Between the mirroring and the shape of the glass, the pieces create shiny optical illusions. The pieces have an organic shape to them and some are made from clear glass while others have color. The mirroring is what ties them all together and when grouped, colored pieces and clear pieces reflect off each other creating an infinite reflection that bleeds color from one piece to another.
Daniele received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. After graduating in 2007, he apprenticed with Venetian glass masters, under contemporary artist, glass designers and craftspeople in Europe, Scandinavia and across America. Daniele served as the chair of the glass arts department at the Fallbrook School of the Arts in San Diego, California from 2011-2012.
