The Special Red Mountain Nature Reserve is a protected area located in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, south of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). With an area of 166 has is one of the best examples of inorganic sands habitats of the island where wetlands are also represented. Inside the book highlights the volcano Red Mountain with its 171 m high. The combination of the recent volcanic cone and large areas and sandy beaches, called dunes, which extend in the area, has a significant landscape value.
