As a local firm having more than 30 years of experience in the furniture and contract market, lapalma takes part to the 14th International Architecture Exhibition at Venice Biennale as a supporting sponsor in partnership with VEDE. VEDE* is a net of companies from the Venice Region which gathered to foster innovation and business culture in the field of design. They provide the exhibition with their own products, which furnish the common areas of Giardini and Arsenale.

lapalma brings to the Biennale design and production technology at the highest level. Its excellence comes from an ongoing research for quality in materials, working process and finishing. Thus granted the company many international awards.

The different locations of the Biennale house ARIA (chairs and stools) – a light, minimal, contemporary restyling of an iconic project, and the quintessence of outdoor seating. The BRIO table comes along with them as a further light, versatile piece of furniture designed by Romano Marcato. Last but not least, ADD, modular bench-system designed by Francesco Rota and presented during Milan Salone del Mobile 2014. ADD accommodates the visitors of the bookshop, where three different combinations are displayed.

*Born to promote and support the furniture industry of North-Eastern Italy, through collaborations in terms of innovation and know-how, VEDE (Venice Excellence Design) has created a network of companies to value the manufacturing excellence of North-East in design, elaborating a common identity, able to give importance and strength to each brand. This has been possible through the creation of a brand with the purpose of underlining the link with the district and communicating manufacturing skills.
An essential part of the program of VEDE is the partnership with Fondazione di Venezia, strategic partner for communication and development of the project, and with the University of Venice IUAV as well as Ca’ Foscari, which will help VEDE searching for new opportunities to promote the district.
