In a typical location in the Old City of A Coruña, next to the central staircase leading from the Plaza General Azcarraga toward the Plaza de María Pita, the restaurant is “El Descansillo” run by Gerardo Quintela, who has managed to give the local by the decor, stylishly renovated, personal and fresh, capturing the essence and the imprint for which he was created.

The kitchen is the heart of the orbiting different areas with tables, designed as a transparent box where chefs maintain an almost direct relationship with customers. Since 2004, this small restaurant has been able to adapt, not only time, but also the characteristics required by different chefs, who have led at different stages.
