Useful Studio designed the offices of employee benefit trust Useful Simple Trust, located in London, England. This SKA Gold accredited fit-out provides a high-quality, low-cost, sustainable home for the Useful Simple Trust companies, that exemplifies their collective commitment to the useful, ethical and intelligent design of the built environment.

The layout enables and encourages a range of uses and activities to take place within the rhythm of the existing floorplate, which is established by a grid of exposed concrete columns. A skylight breaks the grid to provide a large creative, social space at the heart. The workplace is responsive and easily adaptable to the professional, social and cultural needs of the Trust.

Efficient use of natural and recycled materials inspired by the industrial heritage of the building are complimented by bright accent features. This approach, combined with re-used furniture, a focus on wellbeing and sustainable delivery practices contributed to securing SKA Gold accreditation for the project.
