Urban 29 new retail store was two years in the making. The story began when the owner lost her retail store on Lake Street in Minneapolis in early June 2020 from social unrest after the murder of George Floyd. The new store features a simple palette to support her vibrant clothing. The store features men’s urban clothing from designers across the country. “The design of the space was intentionally simple, organized and modern,” said Betsy Vohs, Studio BV Founder and CEO. “The concrete floors were used to balance the plywood custom fixtures designed to support the merchandise. The simple use of plywood and black accents was the perfect balance to the colorful product and textures of the merchandise.”
