There’s no doubt, ADER ERROR knows how to mesmerise its youthful following. Indeed, with seasonal forward collections, but also with retail spaces that resonate well with the latter’s fast-evolving sensibilities. The brand has opened a standalone boutique in Busan, its very first in South Korea‘s second biggest city, and as always, the interior design, created by ADER ERROR‘s in-house design team, is highly eclectic. The store occupies an expansive basement of a modern low-rise structure with a popular café situated overhead. Upon entering the discreet entrance on ground floor level, shoppers descend by way of a narrow staircase to a spacious subterranean retail space with a series of distinctly different settings.
A backdrop of bare, gutted walls are alternated by sections of slatted panels, large mirrors, and furnishings and fixtures crafted from metal. The additional range of furnishings are diverse, adding to the eclectic vibe. A large rock, placed on wooden beams, serves as a display, while in another section a circular display table of polished metal is paired with a shamanistic chandelier. The various shop sections are tied in by a metal-clad ceiling adorned with a configuration of sophisticated light fixtures, but also by the blue carpeting which is overlaid by a number of differently sized colourful carpets. The new ADER ERROR shop-in-shop stocks a selection of the brand’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes and jewellery pieces.
