Cult running shoe brand On is accelerating the roll-out of new stores in leading cities across the planet, and very recently, a new retail space has been inaugurated in Berlin. The Swiss company has secured no less than 520 sqm. (5,597 sq.ft.) set across two floors of an early 20th-century listed building in the city’s Mitte district. Designed by On‘s in-house design team, the interior combines an unmistakable Berlin vibe with traditional and modern elements. Surrounded by trendy shops and popular restaurants, it offers high-performance products and a burst of inspiration for runners, gym enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers, and style icons alike. Upon entering the premises, it becomes immediately apparent that Swiss technology is not only present in the versatile collection. Brick walls merge with massive wooden elements and sophisticated aluminium shelves, creating a deliberate contrast and embodying a connection to nature and a passion for modern technologies.
Flaunting On‘s excitement for revolutionary solutions, are various installations which showcase the technologies, materials, and values that have made the brand popular across the planet, including unique soles, sustainable materials, and athletes with big dreams. By way of a central wooden staircase on the ground floor, visitors descend to the spacious basement section where a generous skylight casts natural light onto the collections. In each city, On aims to build a local running community, and the German capital is no exception. Every Thursday at 6.30 pm, the On Run Club with On ambassador and run coach Björn Menges takes place, and sees participants engaging in group training sessions and they’ll test the very latest On shoe models. But that’s not all. The new store also invites the local running community to regular events centred around movement, culture, and sustainability. © superfuture
