Luxury cobbler Christian Louboutin has been present in Jakarta for quite a few years, operating a boutique at Plaza Indonesia, arguably the city’s leading upscale shopping centre. The brand, managed by MAP, a leading retail company which has introduced a slew of luxury and premium brands from overseas to the booming Indonesian market, has recently inaugurated a new boutique on the premises, featuring Christian Louboutin‘s newest retail design codes. Situated on the ground floor, rubbing shoulders with a large number of boutiques by peers from fashion’s upper echelon, the store sees an interior design created by its in-house design team in Paris and executed by local contractor Kingsmen Indonesia. Contrary to the more colour-infused settings of the previous boutique, this store is more understated yet still oozing elegance, featuring an all-white backdrop, captured by arched shelving units, moulded cabinets, and of course, a pigeon hole shoe showcase in red, the brand’s signature colour, which ties in with the red carpeting. Additional furnishings include contemporary-style, dark timber display tables near the entrance, and a large display table with matching ottomans, and a larger ottoman allowing shoppers to comfortably try on shoes. The new Christian Louboutin store carries women’s and men’s shoes, bags and accessories. © superfuture
