With the architectural study for the pharmacy of miss’s Dandoulaki in Gerani of Rethymno we aimed to create a modern, friendly and “fresh” space that suites the young owner. The difficulties we encountered with this space where the different levels, which we unified to create one common area. By having now one level store, we could design a pharmacy open to the consumer, with a façade that can be seen from across the street. On the same direction we positioned the signing, simple and clear it gives it’s stigma to the pharmacy and makes its presence felt on the local market.
To utilize the space we placed the shelves to display and promote the products circumferentially and the service counter in the center. By using different types of glass shelves, from the one side the ones with a lighted back and the other side those with the device on the back it becomes an interior game and it gives a immaterial feeling resulting the emphasize of the products. The element that catches your eye is a original hanging vitrine placed on the right side of the front window, which promotes the product without blocking the sight to the inside.
The Lighting design was studied particularly. The blue light in combination with the white and grey walls create a environment familiar, breezy and optimistic while at the same time it emphasizes again and shows off the products. The design aimed at a construction of a pharmacy modern and contemporary that would remind to a space of psychical health in spite of a space with a medical character.
