Just as any self-discerning brand, A Bathing Ape a.k.a. BAPE has has a flagship store in the coveted Xintiandi shopping district of Shanghai for quite some time. The streetwear has been making a comeback these past few seasons, and obviously, its retail spaces are being revamped in the process, and this important outpost is one of the first. Measuring 271 sqm. (2,920 sq.ft.) spread across two floors, the premises have been redesigned by BAPE‘s very own in-house design team to deliver visitors an immersive shopping experience. Understated and infused with futuristic yet playful elements, the BAPE store oozes luxury at the same time, featuring marble flooring paired with stainless steel panelling and mirrors, and in one upstairs section, a ceiling designed with a motif of LED lines. A special design feature on the premises is a large Sharkman statue encapsulated in glass which straddles both levels from floor to ceiling. And last but not least, the upper floor window is adorned by a new camouflage motif captured by intricately crafted frame of neon light. The renewed BAPE flagship store carries the full range of apparel, accessories, shoes, bags and eyewear for men, women and kids.
