Australian department store David Jones has unveiled a luxurious new Accessories Hall designed by Dalziel & Pow at its flagship on Bourke Street, Melbourne.

The redesigned accessories department, located on Bourke Street’s ground floor, now offers the most impressive line-up of premium brands in Melbourne. This follows the launch of Dalziel & Pow’s new design concept for David Jones at Eastland, Melbourne, with the scheme set to roll out across several further stores in 2016.

Offering handbags, accessories and some jewellery, the Accessories Hall hosts a cluster of multibrands in the central space, surrounded by a series of key brand shop-in-shop concessions for a boutique effect, with bespoke lighting fixtures to define the different zones.

The shop-in-shops have been designed to accommodate the visual merchandising guidelines and furniture of individual luxury brands. Featuring a restrained monochrome palette and premium finishes; the design elevates the store experience with a more aspirational, fashion-led attitude.

As Australia’s oldest continuously operating department store, David Jones has an impressive heritage and is a much-loved presence in the city. The new Accessories Hall helps appeal to a new generation of fashion-forward luxury shoppers, and will help main the 177-year-old retailer’s position as the best department store in the southern hemisphere.
