Located in the Side region of Antalya, on the Mediterranean coast in the south of Turkey, ALMA Restaurant is a fine-dining restaurant and bar, which is situated on a plot that is almost flat, very close to the shore, and has no significant environmental texture and landscape. Being a victim of irregular urbanization and unqualified architectural productions as of the 90s, Side is a small coastal settlement where the first productions of an urban and cultural transformation emerged with the initiative of a group of local investors. In this context, ALMA Restaurant happens to be the first building designed and built with the intention to guide the city in terms of both architecture and gastronomy culture.
