For the past seven years Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have been creative directors of Valentino, and they’ve managed to dust off its staid image and make it fashion-relevant again to a young demographic. This success comes with an increasing global demand, and that obviously means expansion of the Italian brand’s retail network. And we’re not talking the women’s collections alone, as Valentino’s designs for men have particularly struck a sensitive fashion chord, and in Singapore this has resulted in the launch of a dedicated Valentino men’s boutique.
Situated at Marina Bay Sands, a true hub of leading luxury brands, the store features the brand’s newest retail design codes as defined by the aforementioned creative directors and British architect David Chipperfield. Terrazzo flooring and matching wall panels form the sleek backdrop of custom-made timber furnishings, massive marble displays and wall-mounted clothing racks in shiny brass. The new Valentino men’s store carries the brand’s full men’s collection.
